What You’ll Work On
- BGP-heavy enterprise and SP core networks
- MPLS (L2/L3 VPN) service provider environments
- Routed-optical and transport-connected architectures
- Enterprise WAN migrations
- EVPN/VXLAN data center fabrics
- Live-network cutovers and modernization initiatives
- Advanced troubleshooting in production environments
Core Technical Requirements
Strong experience in:
- BGP (policy control, communities, route reflectors)
- OSPF / EIGRP / IS-IS
- MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE, VRF, L2VPN / L3VPN)
- Segment Routing (SR-MPLS preferred)
- QoS implementation
- WAN architecture & convergence analysis
- High-availability design (HSRP/VRRP)
- Troubleshooting routing instability and path selection issues
Cisco Platforms
Experience with one or more:
- Catalyst 9000
- Nexus 9000 (NX-OS)
- ASR 1000 / 9000
- NCS 540 / 5500
- ISR 4000
- Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela)
